Week 30 Bye Bye Chemnitz

Image
Gave a talk in church on Sunday on the atonement and bore my testimony.  Elder Davis died my hair blond.  Got the call that I am leaving Chemnitz. I am stoked. I am headed to Brandenburg an der Havel. It is an hour southwest of Berlin. My new companion is Elder Sciascia. He is from Australia. I roomed with him on my first day on the mission in Berlin.  Spring seems to be around the corner! Yahoo! We made a video with elders from another area on life after death and posted it on Facebook.  Till next week.

Week 29

This week's highlights! 1) Went to a farm and helped roll in a hay bale. Super nice farm.  Sadly the owner has cancer. 2) Shoveled driveways for people. one guy wanted to pay, but they said no. 3) zone conference    The  theme for Zone Conference was "search, find, and connect" and it was pretty solid.  President Menzel talked about Samuel the Lamanite. He wasn't a Nephite- who knows how different the language or the dialect was- and despite that, he climbed on the wall (after having been kicked out) and preached the words which God put into his heart. President Menzel talked about the importance of using the words that God puts into our hearts and having the courage and trust in God to open our mouths always 4) Spending time  teaching people.5) Major bummer is Germany extended lockdown.

Week 28

Hey guys! How are you?  I wish I had more to write, but in all honesty, not much is going on.  It did snow a ton this week.  It is Germany's version of Snowmageddon.  I guess the highlight of my week was that the bishop's son, who just got home from serving a two-year mission in the Alpine Mission, bought us, Doner.  We also got to teach our friend Roy in the Philippians.  The work is really slow right now.  We are having a hard time finding people to teach.  The low of this week is that we are still in lockdown.   Well, that is all for this week.  Winston
