A Visit to the Temple and Merry Christmas

Image
This week's highlights were going to the temple on Tuesday with our district.  Now I have been to both of the temples in Germany.  It was a really special experience.  The only downside was taking the train to get there as it took forever.  We had to go from Hildesheim to Hannover then Hannover to Dresden and then Dresden to Freiburg.  It was great being together as a district.  We spent the night at the temple and then the next day we got a ride back to Hildesheim. This week we did some service by helping this woman clean out and move some stuff out of her parent's home, so they could put it on the market to sell. Afterward, she gave us these really cool coasters. We had a good Christmas.  We had a wonderful meal at some members' homes.  The ward was so generous to me and my companion.  They gave us each 55 euros plus some wool socks. I also got many other gifts from my Oma, Nana, and family.    I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

We made Cookies for our friends! So proud of my friend!  Go South! We haven't had a very productive week.  I haven't been feeling well.  Not sure why, but I have been getting headaches and my stomach hurts.  We have been able to find a few friends through Facebook, so we have been teaching them lessons.  We are going to the temple this week in Freiburg, so I am excited about that.  Merry Christmas!

God knows our trails!

Hi!  No letter from me this week. I am a lazy bum!  Sorry!  Busy teaching God's children the gospel.  We are continuing to work with our friend in Kenya via Facebook.  She also has a friend that we are starting to work with as well.  The outdoor finding has come pretty much to a halt as it is so cold and no one really wants to talk to us. Also, all the additional restrictions with Corona have made it even more difficult. We have been focusing a lot of our energy on Facebook finding and sharing messages of hope via our Facebook pages!  We went to the Christmas Market today and I was able to get a mug!  Anyway, that is all for this week.  My mom sent me this message and so I will share it with you!  Love Winston “God knows how to help us feel peace in adversity, even while the test continues.  He will send friends as angels to stand by you ‘with warm hearts and friendly hands.’  Our own hearts will be changed for the better as we endure personal trials through faith in Him.  And with

Gottingen, Hanover, and Working Hard

Hello, It has been a super busy week. I hope you are all doing well.   On Tuesday and Wednesday, we traveled to Gottingen to do an exchange with Elder Bassett and Elder Mayfield.  We had a really good time with them!  Next up, We have been super busy teaching people. This week we had two appointments with this woman from Kenya.  We challenged her to read the book of Mormon after our first visit and when we taught her for the second appointment she had already downloaded the book in her language. She has read some from the book and told us she believes it to be true.  Since we don't live close to her, we turned her over to the Elders who live in her area.  We have also had appointments with a few other people.  On Saturday, we took the bus out to this really small village to do some service work for this lady.  We helped her clean out her chicken coops and her horse stalls.  Afterward, she gave us some eggs.  On the way home, we don't know what happened but the bus never came.
