God Will Deliver

Aye! Wie Geht's!?  This week has been absolutely crazy. It's hard for me to wrap my head around hearing that Russia has started invading Ukraine. I never imagined that a first-world country would do that in the 21st century. I have been keeping the people there in my prayers, hoping that it will peacefully end soon, & I ask that you do too.  The highlights of my week:  • We hosted our first Sprachcafè Tuesday evening over zoom. If you don't know what a Sprachcafé is, it's where a bunch of people that are learning a language get together and practice by discussing various topics. We had 5 people show up which may not seem like a lot, but it's a humble beginning. We all introduced ourselves and at the end, I was able to give a spiritual thought on how exercising faith in God can help us be happy regardless of the circumstances we are in (I also posted it on my Facebook if you wanna check it out)  • It was Sister Lymans birthday on Thursday so the sisters and I cam

The Book of Mormon talks about God and how we can strengthen our relationship with Him. At the beginning of the book, there is a family that must go through the wilderness to avoid the destruction of Jerusalem. You went through the wilderness for 8 years until you came to the land God had prepared for you. There are two sons who described this time the first one said 20 “We have walked in the wilderness all these years; and our women have clothed themselves, while they were pregnant and heavy bodies; and they have given birth to children in the wilderness, and have suffered everything but death, and it would be enough been r for them before they move out to die from Jerusalem than to suffer these threats. 21 See, all these years we have suffered in the wilderness, and among them, we could have enjoyed our possessions and the land of our heritage; yes, and we could have been happy. " This son was totally dissatisfied during that time. He only thought about what was in Jerusalem and

Multi-Zone Conference in Berlin

This week was absolutely fantastic!! Filled with getting to meet and know a lot of great people better.  The Highlight of this past week was that on Friday we had a multi-zone conference in Berlin. Friday morning we had to wake up at 3:30 am to get there on time. Yeah, you read that right. Because of this wind storm that was going on the office told us that a bunch of trains would be canceled, and they told us to wake up earlier than planned, to be safe so that we would get away to Berlin. They were right, the train that we originally planned to take at 6:54 got canceled, so we had to take two trains to Cottbus and then a train to Berlin. We finally got there right before it started and let me tell you I'm so happy that we were able to make it. It was so worth waking up that early. President Kopischke of the area presidency spoke to us. I really loved how he emphasized that we can never be too bold when inviting people to come unto Christ when we love them. Bringing people the re

Aye!! Wie Geht's!? Reporting to y'all all from Dresden now!! My new comp, Elder Horsley, and I got here on Tuesday. It turned out that there was quite some confusion about what would be happening here. We ended up getting the wrong area book, so that made things complicated, and we still haven't gotten it all figured out, so please pray for us.  We have been able to get out, see the city, and invite others to come unto Christ. Our apartment is right across the street from this huge park which is so perfect for going finding. The weather was perfect for a few days this week and the park was absolutely packed. We have also been able to explore the city center a bit which is absolutely stunning. Everywhere you turn there is a jaw-dropping building. Elder Horsley can play the piano and has been practicing a musical piece with the sisters in our ward for Zone Conference this coming week. They are seriously so talented, everyone at Zone Conference will be in for a treat. We als
