A Week of Miracles

1) Tuesday we went finding.  We were having no luck.  After two hours we said a prayer and asked Heavenly Father if he would help us find someone we could share the gospel with. Not long after we said the prayer, we met a woman and were able to give her the whole first discussion and we were able to pass out some contact cards.

2)Wednesday, we had a district council.  We had a really great meeting and afterward we had a potluck.  Each of us brought something to share.  We brought a roast.  

3) Thursday we had a zone conference.  It was epic.  We talked about flooding the mission with the gospel and the importance of the Book of Mormon.  At the conference, each set of missionaries was given boxes of the Boof of Mormon. We have a goal as a mission to pass out 2,000 Books of Mormons by the end of our 40-day challenge.  Afterward, we had a BBQ.  The food was so good.  We had Schwein steaks and brats, bread, brownies, and a few other things.  On our way home, we missed our train.  So instead of just sitting there, we went out in front of the train station and we were able to hand out a bunch of contact cards and 3 of our books.  What a blessing!

4) Friday we were invited to a member's home in Wolfsburg.  We had another BBQ!  The food was so good.

5) Saturday, we spent the day finding and were able to pass out another Book of Mormon.  

6) Sunday, I gave a talk in church on the Book of Mormon.

7) Today, we went running in the morning and after going grocery shopping and cleaning the apartment we went to Wolfburg to go to the VW museum.  Afterward, the members who brought us there took us to lunch at an Italian restaurant.  The food was really good.

Week 5

This week I had my first exchange and it was a ton of fun. The Erfurt Elders came over and I spent the day with Elder Obrist.  He is super cool! He is 22, which makes him older than the rest of us. Before leaving for his mission, he worked in the house-building industry and served in the Swiss military, so I was able to learn a lot from him. We had companionship study together and then we went to Schwester Karl's place for an appointment. Schwester Karl is the sweetest lady and always loves having the missionaries over. When we were leaving she gave us a ton of food to take home with us which was dope. I also finished my Technology training this week so I can finally use Facebook now. I'm thankful that we have the blessing of technology as it opens so many opportunities for sharing the love that Jesus Christ has for us with others. Jesus is the Lord Week 11

  Hey Guys!  This past week has been quite great. We were able to meet a few of our friends here in the area. We also decided to introduce ourselves to members by baking cookies and dropping them off at their place. Our plan worked and they loved it. Yesterday I had a great time at church attending the Hohenstein and Chemnitz wards.  I currently serve over 4 wards in the Chemnitz area. It was nice to be able to bear my testimony and meet more members of the wards. Last month this young man from the Philippines messaged me on Facebook.  My last companion and I were able to teach him over a series of video calls. He believed everything we taught him and he loved reading the Book of Mormon (he did it every day and took detailed notes). We were then able to connect him with the sister missionaries in his area, and on Friday I got the wonderful news that he accepted their invitation to be baptized! It brings me so much joy knowing that he is willing to follow the example of Jesus Christ and

Week 79 A second weekly in a row- What's going on!?

Yo was geht ab!? On Saturday I hit my 18th-month mark which is so crazy to think about .  Time really does fly when you're having fun. I also found out that I'll be released on the 21st of July, which was a bit earlier than expected but oh well. The plan right now is for me to join my family in Frankfurt since they'll be there for the summer and go home with them on the 28th. So I'll first be available to meet in person near the end of July and early August. I'm also having to look into housing for BYU already. I'm not really sure if I want to stay on campus or off. For those of you who went to BYU or are there right now, what are the pros and cons of both?  Besides finding out my plans for when I go home, this week has been pretty good. Right now I'm still serving in the city of Hildesheim and I love it here. I've been here for 6 months already, so I'll probably get booted somewhere else next transfer. If I do I hope I go to a big city like Hamburg
