Happy New Year






Hello! I am still here in Hildesheim. I love it here though, so it is no big deal. Christmas was great! We had three meal appointments: one on Christmas Eve, one on Christmas, and one on Boxing Day but it isn’t called Boxing Day here. The food was fantastic and the members are great here. I got to speak to my family on New Year's Eve! We continue to teach our friends and look for new friends. It has been a little slow because of the holidays. One of our friends came to church this week. He loves it! Really not much to talk about! Love, Winston

Week 5

This week I had my first exchange and it was a ton of fun. The Erfurt Elders came over and I spent the day with Elder Obrist.  He is super cool! He is 22, which makes him older than the rest of us. Before leaving for his mission, he worked in the house-building industry and served in the Swiss military, so I was able to learn a lot from him. We had companionship study together and then we went to Schwester Karl's place for an appointment. Schwester Karl is the sweetest lady and always loves having the missionaries over. When we were leaving she gave us a ton of food to take home with us which was dope. I also finished my Technology training this week so I can finally use Facebook now. I'm thankful that we have the blessing of technology as it opens so many opportunities for sharing the love that Jesus Christ has for us with others. Week 79 A second weekly in a row- What's going on!?

Yo was geht ab!? On Saturday I hit my 18th-month mark which is so crazy to think about .  Time really does fly when you're having fun. I also found out that I'll be released on the 21st of July, which was a bit earlier than expected but oh well. The plan right now is for me to join my family in Frankfurt since they'll be there for the summer and go home with them on the 28th. So I'll first be available to meet in person near the end of July and early August. I'm also having to look into housing for BYU already. I'm not really sure if I want to stay on campus or off. For those of you who went to BYU or are there right now, what are the pros and cons of both?  Besides finding out my plans for when I go home, this week has been pretty good. Right now I'm still serving in the city of Hildesheim and I love it here. I've been here for 6 months already, so I'll probably get booted somewhere else next transfer. Jesus is the Lord Week 11

  Hey Guys!  This past week has been quite great. We were able to meet a few of our friends here in the area. We also decided to introduce ourselves to members by baking cookies and dropping them off at their place. Our plan worked and they loved it. Yesterday I had a great time at church attending the Hohenstein and Chemnitz wards.  I currently serve over 4 wards in the Chemnitz area. It was nice to be able to bear my testimony and meet more members of the wards. Last month this young man from the Philippines messaged me on Facebook.  My last companion and I were able to teach him over a series of video calls. He believed everything we taught him and he loved reading the Book of Mormon (he did it every day and took detailed notes). We were then able to connect him with the sister missionaries in his area, and on Friday I got the wonderful news that he accepted their invitation to be baptized! It brings me so much joy knowing that he is willing to follow the example ...
