This week's adventures included a baptism, another baptism by the Gottingen Elders, street contacting, teaching our friend George, haircuts, eating Chinese food, and of course Burger King which is so much better than in the states.  We also taught a mission prep class to young men and women.  We taught them why it is important to go on a mission, how you can be blessed, and how to be an effective missionary.  D&C 4 states: Now behold, a marvelous work is about to come forth among the children of men.  Therefore, O ye that embark in the service of God, see that ye serve him with all your heart, might, mind, and strength, that ye may stand blameless before God at the last day.  Therefore, if ye have a desire to serve God year are called to the work: For behold, the field is white already to harvest; and lo, he that thrusteth in his sickle with his might, the same layeth up in store that he perisheth not, but bringeth salvation to his soul; and faith, hope char...

The Grave Hath No Victory

Hello!  This week I lost my grandpa. It  was great knowing him. Thanks to the Plan of Salvation, I can receive comfort knowing that he is in a better place. Love you and Rest in peace. Mosiah 16:8 "But there is a resurrection, therefore the grave hath no victory, and the sting of death is swallowed up in Christ" Heute hab ich meinen Großvater verloren. I don't have a lot of time to write because our day has been so busy. We said goodbye to Elder Winter. He completed his mission and went back home to California. Elder Bueno and I will be staying in Hildesheim. Today, I went to the dentist for the first time in Germany. Sadly, when I fell off my bike and broke my arm, I must have hit...

That discussion we had didn’t end up anywhere, and we continued on our search.  Around 8 pm we got a call from President Menzel saying that we were going to be emergency transferred. It was such a shock, he told us that my comp, Elder Hugg would be going to Neumünster and the Hildesheim Elders would be taking me back with them.  Wednesday- In the morning we had district council and had to share the sad news. Then we spent most of the afternoon packing and cleaning the apartment. In the evening Sister Luck invited ...
